New Member Information
Thank you for your interest in our organization. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Oakland Bay Area Chapter is a group of dynamic African American women who are committed to the empowerment of women and girls in our respective communities.
We are looking for women who have demonstrated experience working to improve their communities and who need to feel what they do has real purpose and makes a difference!
We are particularly interested in women leaders with knowledge and skills in strategic planning, program development, fund development, grant writing, technology, web development, finance, and public relations/marketing. If you are interested in learning more about our organization and future events, please complete our Membership Application. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls and the community at large. NCBW has over 61 chapters with over 2800 members. Our organization recruits, selects and accepts new members year-round. Membership is open to women who have demonstrated evidence of community involvement and agree to support the purpose and goals of NCBW.
To be considered for membership, applicants must complete the Membership Application and submit a $50 Non-Refundable Application Fee. Upon receipt of your Membership Application, someone will contact you directly.
Each applicant is required to submit (2) letters of recommendation from community references that will speak to your volunteer experience. One letter can be from a member of the 100 Black Women. If you are new to the area, contact our Membership Chair to discuss other acceptable recommendations. Please direct your questions to membership@onehundredblackwomen.org.
