KEYNOTE SPEAKER—Debra Martin Chase is an Emmy nominated and Peabody Award winning television and motion picture producer whose company, Martin Chase Productions, has been affiliated with the Walt Disney Company since 2001 and been based  at the ABC Television Network since 2012.  She was the first African American female producer to have a deal at a major studio.

Corporate Award: Loretta Walker—Vice President, External Affairs, Employee Engagement & Communications – AT&T California.  Ms. Walker heads the company’s local government and community affairs initiatives. Managing a team of senior professionals, she is responsible for AT&T corporate sponsorship, policy and philanthropic initiatives.
Madam C. J. Walker Entrepreneur Award—Atu McKinney, Cleminatu (Atu) Fields, CEO of Squared Ventures-Has over seventeen years of experience in developing policies, implementation plans, and achievement reports as well overseeing staff in those efforts. She has played an extensive role in the development of policies for the Port of Oakland including its Non-Discrimination and Small Local Business Utilization Policy and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program. She also oversaw  the implementation of the Port’s unique Project Labor Agreement, which included the first innovative Social Justice Program that promoted the inclusion of local construction workers as journeymen and apprentices. Atu is a graduate of Yale University.
Madam C. J. Walker Advocacy Award—Gay Plair Cobb, CEO Oakland Private Industry Council serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Oakland Private Industry Council. Ms. Cobb serves as a Member of Advisory Board at OneCalifornia Bank, FSB. Ms. Cobb serves as a Trustee at San Francisco Foundation. She serves as a Member of the Alameda County Board of Education. She serves on the boards of the California Workforce Association, the Oakland Mayor’s Summer Jobs Program, the New Oakland Committee, the Oakland Advisors, and the Chabot Space and Science Center.

She is currently the chief operating officer (COO) of TaskRabbit, the leading marketplace matching workers with customers. As COO, Brown-Philpot is responsible for revenue growth and profitability, including marketing, operations, business development, data science, finance and HR. She advises the board on strategic issues and the financial direction of the company.
