2011 Member of the Year — Aisha Brown

Aisha Brown

Aisha Brown

Aisha is a dedicated leader — tackling the monotonous tasks, challenging tasks and exciting tasks with equal enthusiasm, since joining the Oakland Bay Area Chapter in 2007.

She has successfully chaired the Programs Committee for the past three years and has made the notable contribution of increasing the Positive Steps participant count to the highest ever. Her efforts and guidance continue to enhance and support the mentoring opportunities which benefit both the chapter membership and the mentees, who look to NCBW members for leadership definition and positive role examples.

Aisha’s “can do” attitude and her ability to “meet people where they are”, consistently encourage and motivate our Chapter members to step-up, pitch-in and strive for excellence.  She leads by example and can always be counted on to give her best!

Congratulations, Aisha
